Your Responsibilities

 

As an Electrical Engineer for John Deere Construction and Forestry (C&F) located in Dubuque, IA, you will…

 

  • Support requirements development and design for electronic components and electrical systems
  • Lead Electrical Product Verification & Validation (PV&V) activities for construction machine platforms
  • Provide problem solving of electrical issues on new product development and current production
  • Work with electronic suppliers to ensure component interface and quality meet John Deere needs
  • Develop, mentor and train other Electrical PV&V Engineers

What Skills You Need

 

  • 2 or more years of Electrical Engineering experience performing analysis, testing and/or design work
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and experience leading small teams
  • Strong organization and workload planning skills

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Knowledge of electrical components such as batteries, starters, alternators, rocker switches, relays, solenoids, sensors, actuators and connectors
  • Experience performing environmental verification testing and resolving issues
  • EMC testing experience and issue resolution
  • Experience writing functional, performance and durability requirements
  • Experience with off- road vehicle electrical systems
  • Experience working with suppliers in the application of electrical components
  • CAN, USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth communications experience
  • Project leadership experience, demonstrating scheduling, task planning and resource management

Education

 

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
