Your Responsibilities


As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for John Deere Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, IA, you will... 


  • Establish assembly methods, defines operations layouts, procures tooling, conceptualizes fixtures, estimates costs for new programs of moderate scope.
  • Define and investigate problems, gathers, and analyzes data, proposes and implements solutions.
  • Innovate and implement cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvement ideas of a large scope.
  • Apply electronic tools across a broad range of applications, including e-builds, modeling, and simulations.
  • Lead analysis, development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology, while working with automation team to ensure alignment in capacity needs and future automation.

What Skills You Need


  • Demonstrated Project Management skills in large scope projects  
  • Experience leading strategic projects that affect multiple product lines or functional areas (Make vs. Buy, Manufacturing Competency Projects, etc.)
  • 3 or more years of experience in one or more related engineering areas: Industrial, Manufacturing, Quality     
  • 2 or more years of experience with process development and improvement, tooling design, fixturing and workstation layout    
  • 2 or more years of experience with engineering tools such as AutoCAD, Creo, and CreoView          
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and effective communication skills    

What Makes You Stand Out


  • Strong data analysis skills  ability to create data a collection system, use data to perform descriptive; diagnostic; predictive or prescriptive analytics, and deliver appropriate output consumption tools to wide variety of stakeholders      
  • Manufacturing software application knowledge       
  • Manufacturing tooling knowledge




Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: 


  • 4-year Degree in an Engineering or Technology discipline.
