This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time.  The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change. 

 

This position may be located in Dubuque, IA or Kernersville, NC per the hiring manager's discretion. This may be dependent on the successful candidate's background, experience, and proficiency.

Your Responsibilities

 

As a Structural Analyst for Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, IA or Kernersville, NC, you will:

 

  • Analyze structures using Abaqus/Optistruct to perform modal, linear, non-linear static, dynamic analysis to support the development and refinement of designs from components to assembly level.          
  • Collaborate with Test and Design as required to develop efficient analysis plans.    
  • Conduct correlation studies of analysis to physical test results. 
  • Support of product program timelines by efficient execution of analysis projects.

What Skills You Need

 

  • Experience with FEA (Abaqus/Ansys/OptiStruct) software        
  • Strong computational and mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work experience or academic projects        
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills        
  • Strong teamwork skills

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • 1 or more years of experience academically and/or professionally using FEA software        
  • 1 or more years of experience with fatigue analysis software such as nCode        
  • 1 or more years of design experience using CAD software (PTC Creo)   
  • Masters degree in engineering or science     

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Agricultural Engineering
