Your Responsibilities
As a Team Leader for the John Deere Power Products division in Greeneville, TN, you will be responsible for achieving departmental/area goals and objectives. Supervises production employees in operations or processes requiring semi-skilled employees to ensure that the goals of the department and organization are achieved. The supervisor is the first-line liaison between the production employees and the management staff and thus also serves the function of representing the company’s interests with the shop floor staff. In addition, you will:
- Manage first shift weld and paint drop operations required to improve and sustain the safety, quality, and productivity of our ongoing first shift operations.
- Serve as technical expert providing engineering support for current weld operation.
- Monitor and achieve department goals related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

What Skills You Need
- 3 or more years of experience in Weld Engineering.
- 3 or more years of prior leadership of Weld Operations.
- 1 or more years of experience with computer aided design, engineering tools, or systems and databases.
- 1 or more years of experience with process design, material presentation, and visual management tools.
What Makes You Stand Out
- Prior experience leading paint or maintenance departments.
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience of Manufacturing Processes.
- 1 or more years of strong communication skills.
- 1 or more years of demonstrated understanding of process planning, mapping, and execution.
- 1 or more years of experience as a self- starter with the ability to execute a variety of tasks with little supervision.
- 1 or more years of analytical experience in determining welding related cycle times and costs.
- 1 or more years of hands- on skill in programming robotic welding systems and manual welding.
- 1 or more years of experience in online or offline programming of robotic welding systems.
- 1 or more years of analytical experience in Statistical Process Control for dimensional integrity of weldments.
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Weld Engineering.
