The European Technology Innovation Center (ETIC) of John Deere is part of a global R&D network in Kaiserslautern. Its focus is on the research on and development of future trends and technologies in the area of mobile agricultural and construction machines in close collaboration with diverse research institutes

Intern, Bachelor or Master thesis (m/f/d)
Starting in October 2023
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop dynamic plant models and control strategies for highly automated machinery
- Coordinate data collection and machine tests
- Setup prototype systems
- Participate in field tests
- Analyze measurement data, define metrics, and evaluate system performance
- Gain insights in the functionality of modern hay and forage equipment
What Skills You Need:
- Studies in the field of mechanical or electrical engineering
- Experience in dynamic plant modeling for mechanical multi-body and hydraulic systems
- Solid knowledge in controls engineering and system identification techniques
- Good overview on sensing technologies and working principles
- Very good written and spoken English
- Knowledge in agriculture and driver license class T advantageous
