This position may be located in Milan, IL or Chicago, IL per the hiring manager's discretion. This may be dependent on the successful candidate's background, experience, and proficiency.

 

This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

Your Responsibilities

 

As an SAP Senior Software Engineer supporting the John Deere Parts Warehouse Modernization Product Team, you will be responsible for supporting product design by planning its work, coordinating with others, and writing and testing code to deliver functionality for the complete product or products it supports.

 

  • Designs complex/significant parts of a system/sub-system or works on a complete product of a broad scope and solves well-defined problems with little guidance.
  • May act as a work lead, providing technical coaching to other engineers and support personnel
  • Recognized as an expert user of critical technology; develops new software functionality for product development.
  • Develops, codes, configures, and tests programs and systems.
  • Evaluates and implements enhancement design solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance of software applications.
  • Analyzes assignments and determines software specifications that must be fulfilled to achieve objectives.
  • Executes necessary documentation, as directed, or needed.
  • Collaborates with other relevant stakeholders and team members to ensure that features meet business needs.
  • Follows industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation.
  • Mentors junior software engineers on the team.

What Skills You Need

 

  • 4+ years of work experience with SAP Extended Warehouse Management 
  • 4+ years of work experience with SAP S/4HANA (Configuring, Developing, Documenting, and Maintaining functions for Extended Warehouse Management)
  • 4+ years of work experience with SAP LE-Deliveries (Inbound and Outbound Processing, Stock Management, Bin Management, Picking Waves and Strategies, Shipments, Handling Units, Staging, Loading, Warehouse Cockpit, RF Framework and Cross Docking Integration and Execution)
  • 4+ years of work experience with SAP Core ABAP RICEF, PPF, ABAP Unit Classes, UI5/Fiori, Screen Personas, ABAP ON HANA,
  • 4+ years of work experience with Zebra printing using Smart forms, Adobe forms, ALE/IDOC, CIF, qRFC, Proxies, NW Gateway, SAP PI/PO and SOAP Web services
  • 4+ years of work experience with DevOps 
  • 1+ years of work experience with Smart Business or Embedded Analytics Warehouse and KPI Dashboards
  • 1+ years of work experience with Configurations for EWM Integrations and Yard Management

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • 4+ years of work experience with Warehouse Implementations (Data Migration, Cutover, Testing, and Training)
  • 2+ years of work experience with Agile/Scrum 
  • 1+ years of work experience with Design Thinking Exercises for SAP EWM Solutions
  • 1+ years of work experience with Testing Tools (Tricentis or Worksoft)
  • 1+ years of work experience with Configurations for EWM (Labor Management, Cartonization and 3rd Party Carrier Integrations)
  • SAP Certifications (EWM 9.0 and above and S/4 EWM)

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or Engineering.
