This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.
Your Responsibilities
As an SAP Software Engineer-EWM for the John Deere Parts Modern Warehouse product team located in Milan or Chicago, Illinois, you will be responsible for supporting product design by planning its work, coordinating with others, and writing and testing code to deliver functionality for the complete product or products it supports.
- Design complex/significant parts of a system/sub-system or works on a complete product of a broad scope and solves well-defined problems with little guidance.
- May act as a work lead, providing technical coaching to other engineers and support personnel
- Recognized as an expert user of critical technology; develop new software functionality for product development.
- Develop, code, configure, and test programs and systems.
- Evaluate and implement enhancement design solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance of software applications.
- Analyze assignments and determine software specifications that must be fulfilled to achieve objectives.
- Execute necessary documentation, as directed, or needed.
- Collaborate with other relevant stakeholders and team members to ensure that features meet business needs.
- Follow industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation.
- Mentor junior software engineers on the team.

What Skills You Need
- 4 to 7 or more years of hands-on experience with configuration and development for SAP Extended Warehouse Management
- 4 to 7 or more years of experience with configuring, developing, documenting, and maintaining functions for extended warehouse management in SAP S/4HANA. This is including, but not limited to Configurations related to LE-Deliveries, inbound and outbound processing, stock management, bin management, picking waves and strategies, shipments, handling units, staging, loading, warehouse cockpit, RF Framework and cross docking integration and execution.
- 4 to 7 or more years of experience in Developing using Core ABAP RICEF, PPF, ABAP Unit Classes, UI5/Fiori, Screen Personas, ABAP ON HANA, Zebra printing using Smart forms, Adobe forms, ALE/IDOC, CIF, qRFC, Proxies, NW Gateway, SAP PI/PO and SOAP Web services.
- 4 or more years working with Engineering and DevOps concepts such as CI/CD, continuous improvement, culture of experimentation, learning culture, value flows, feedback loops, etc.
- 1 or more years of experience working with Smart Business or Embedded Analytics Warehouse Dashboards and KPI setups
- 1 or more years of experience of Configurations for EWM Integrations with Yard Management
What Makes You Stand Out
- 4 to 7 or more years of hands-on experience with numerous (4 or more) warehouse implementations and/or roll outs including data migration, cutover, testing, and training
- Certifications with SAP EWM 9.0 and above, S/4 EWM would be value add
- 2 or more years of experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment
- 1 or more years of experience in conducting Design thinking exercises with business and product owners while coming up with SAP EWM solution for business problems
- Has Experience in using testing tools like Tricentis, Worksoft etc
- 1 or more years of experience of Configurations for EWM related Labor Management, Cartonization, 3rd Party Carrier Integrations.
