This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time.  The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

Your Responsibilities


As an SAP Software Engineer for the John Deere Parts Warehouse Modernization Product Team located in Chicago or Milan, IL (Hybrid Eligible), you will be responsible for supporting product design by planning its work, coordinating with others, and writing and testing code to deliver functionality for the complete product or products it supports.


  • Designs parts of a system/sub-system or works on a complete product of a broad scope and solves well-defined problems with little guidance.
  • Develops new software functionality for product development.
  • Develops, codes, configures, and tests programs and systems.
  • Evaluates and implements enhancement design solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance of software applications.
  • Analyzes assignments and determines software specifications that must be fulfilled to achieve objectives.
  • Executes necessary documentation, as directed, or needed.
  • Collaborates with other relevant stakeholders and team members to ensure that features meet business needs.
  • Follows industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation.

What Skills You Need


  • 2+years of work experience with SAP 
  • 2+ years of work experience with Configuring, Developing, Documenting, and Maintaining SAP Functions 
  • 2+ years of work experience with SAP Core ABAP RICEF
  • 2+ years of work experience with DevOps 

What Makes You Stand Out


  • 2+ years of work experience with SAP Extended Warehouse Management
  • 2+ years of work experience with SAP Implementations (Data Migration, Cutover, Testing, and Training)
  • 2+ years of work experience SAP PPF, ABAP Unit Classes, UI5/Fiori, Screen Personas, ABAP ON HANA, Zebra printing using Smart forms, Adobe forms, ALE/IDOC, CIF, qRFC, Proxies, NW Gateway, SAP PI/PO and SOAP Web services.
  • 1+ years of work experience with Smart Business or Embedded Analytics Warehouse and KPI Dashboards
  • 1+ years of work experience with SAP Configurations for EWM Integrations with Yard Management
  • 1+ years of work experience with Agile/Scrum 
  • 1+ years of work experience with Testing Tools (Tricentis or Worksoft)
  • 1+ years of work experience with SAP Configurations 
  • SAP Certifications (EWM 9.0 and S/4 EWM)



Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or Engineering.
