Title: Sr. Performance & Emissions Compliance Specialist - 93211
Your Position:
Major Purpose
Major Duties
- Engine performance and calibration development activities in China
- Field performance issue trouble shooting and investigation for all engines in China marketing
- Engine testing and performance data analysis
- Serve as primary point of contact with Chinese government testing labs, and industry associations for current emission regulation topics and development of future emission regulations
- Monitors and understands complex regulatory requirements and their ability to affect JD products, works with co-workers to assess risk and strategy for ensure compliance of our products
- Supports emission information disclosure submission process for new or revised engine models
- Supports post-SOP emissions compliance activities which include in-use PEMS testing, production engine emission auditing, and imported engine volume data disclosure
Required
- At least 5 years engineering experience in engine or automation industry
- Self-motivation and strong communication skills both in Chinese and English
- Good understanding of base engine and aftertreatment, also has experience with engine calibration related work
- Ability to execute a certification test in test lab
- Professional data analysis capability, strong analytical and problem solving skills are required
- Willing to travel – field issue onsite supporting and industry associations meeting
Desired
- Regulatory working experience
- Understanding of Chinese GB standards required for engine development
- Experience working in VECC information disclosure system
- Background working with industry associations or test labs
Skills, Abilities, Knowledge
Education
Bachelor degree or above, major in mechanical or thermal energy and power engineering, automation technology, etc.
