This position is eligible for partial remote work at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

 

Your Responsibilities

 

As a Design Engineer, Traction & Suspension for Product Engineering Center located in Waterloo, IA, you will deliver new cab suspension designs for new programs and Model Year updates. In addition, you will:

 

  • Design owner for cab suspension on Heavy Draft Product Delivery Process (PDP):  release designs per program schedule, collaborate with suppliers for optimal design, identify and solve issues that arise during validation
  • Design owner for cab suspension related projects for Model Year updates
  • Extend the strategy to increase performance and commonality of cab suspension designs for Large Tractors

What Skills You Need

 

  • 3 or more years designing and managing parts in PTC Creo, PDM, and SAP
  • 3 or more years as a part responsible engineer for PDP or Continuous Improvement (CI)
  • 3 or more years working in cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Previous experience designing suspension systems
  • Experience and interest in vehicle dynamics
  • Experience with NVH (Noise Vibration and Harshness) analysis and problem solving
  • Formal training in PTC Creo modeling and Assembly management

Education

 

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:  

 

  • Bachelors or Master's Degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering
