Your Responsibilities

 

As a Robotic Assembly Manufacturing Engineer for John Deere Des Moines Works located in Ankeny, IA, you will innovate and implement cost reduction, quality, and safety/ergonomic improvement ideas of moderate scope. In addition, you will...

 

  • Lead team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity, and efficiency of moderate scope
  • Lead analysis, development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology
  • Provide shop floor support and troubleshooting for current operations
  • Investigate challenges, gather/analyze data and implement solutions

What Skills You Need

 

  • 1 or more years of experience with manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventable maintenance and facilities. College coursework, Projects, Internships, and CoOps experience is acceptable.

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • 1 or more years of experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, and/or quality
  • Experience with shop floor manufacturing, incentive pay systems such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan) 
  • 1 or more years of experience with engineering tools such as Creo, AutoCAD, Ignition, Python, VisView, or Tableau
  • Experience with manufacturing process design, material presentation, 5S, tool design, continuous improvement, safety/ergo tactics, and quality improvement methodology 
  • Experience or knowledge of Tillage
  • SAP knowledge of repetitive and discrete manufacturing

Education

 

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial/Manufacturing/Systems, Robotic, or Electrical Engineering.
