Your Responsibilities

 

As a Senior Paint Manufacturing Engineer for John Deere Des Moines Works located in Ankeny, IA you will….

 

  • Initiate, lead, & implement team projects related to safety, quality, productivity, and cost
  • Initiate & lead resolution of operational technical issues, related to down time, quality, safety, or efficiency
  • Lead or manage projects to implement new manufacturing paint processes of moderate to large scope
  • Research, develop, & implement new manufacturing paint technologies or electronic tools

What Skills You Need

 

  • 4 or more years of background in Engineering (mechanical, chemical, materials, or electrical)
  • 4 or more years knowledge of Manufacturing and/or paint processes
  • 2 or more years experience with computer aided design, engineering tools, or systems and databases
  • 2 or more years experience with process design, material presentation, and visual management tools

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Experience with large scale industrial paint systems
  • Experience with quality systems and processes
  • Knowledge of SAP, PhizX, and other factory management tools

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Materials, or Chemical Engineering
