Your Position:

Your Responsibilities

 

As an Area Sales Manager (ASM) for John Deere Financial (JDF), you will support Ag Service Providers (ASPs) by positioning JDF sales finance programs to grow sales, increase market penetration and provide customers with finance options to acquire crop inputs. This territory covers the states of Mississippi, Louisiana along with portions of Arkansas and Tennessee.  Additionally, you will:
 

  • Provide input on finance solutions to grow sales for ASPs and JDF that meet the requirements of customers
  • Serve as a liaison between ASPs and JDF resources to improve processes and solve problems
  • Create alignment with the A&T and JDF territory teams by establishing and maintaining positive working relationships
  • Be viewed as the Subject-Matter-Expert (SME) for the JDF Agribusiness channel in this geographic footprint
  • Communicate with key JDF stakeholders regarding market concerns, marketing conditions, competition, and customer issues to support profitable growth of the business

What Skills You Need

  

  • Strong relationship building, communication, sales and negotiation skills
  • Strong planning, organization, and execution skills
  • Previous Sales, Marketing, Credit or Business-related experience
  • Knowledge of the crop input industry
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically
  • Willingness to relocate (if applicable) to the Memphis, TN area

What Makes You Stand Out

    

  • Understanding of JDF Multi-Use account Special Terms programs
  • Agricultural input industry experience - markets, products, competitors and customers
  • Marketing/sales experience with financial services or equipment sales
  • Proven ability to improve business performance
  • Self-starter / ability to work independently
  • Previous experiences within various Deere/JDF functions such as Sales, Market Development, Credit Delivery, Asset Management, Customer Support, etc. 

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: 
  

  • Business Administration, Accounting/Finance, or Marketing/Sales discipline, or equivalent work experience in marketing/sales.
