Your Responsibilities

 

As a Supply Management Planner and Administrative Assistant in this dual role for John Deere in Cary, North Carolina, you will perform 75% of time supporting the Partnering Solutions Group for Supply Management and 25% of time as an Administrative Assistant for the Turf & Utility Senior Management.

 

In the Supply Management position you will:

 

  • Serve as the primary contact to Demand Planners, Order Management Specialists, warehouse personnel, and supplier schedulers regarding scheduling, ordering and delivery of production bundles
  • Participate on project teams to support product schedule development
  • Update SAP for suppliers’ requirements and deliveries and product plan changes
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and works with suppliers to meet customer requirements.
  • Generate and review reports for necessary actions such as the weekly barometer report
  • Execute master scheduling logic and work with demand planners to handle schedule forecasts
  • Facilitate monthly Partnering Solutions Group (PSG) metrics reviews, maintain business scorecard and work with PSG SharePoint site

 

In the Administrative Assistant position you will:

 

  • Provide overall administrative support for platform leadership
  • Schedule meetings, coordinate travel arrangements and maintain calendar appointments
  • Produce presentations and correspondence
  • Handle confidential information

What Skills You Need

 

Supply Management Planner position requires:

 

  • Knowledge of SAP for the materials/purchasing screens
  • Ability to negotiate tradeoffs internally to John Deere as well as external and resolve issues to the satisfaction of all parties
  • Understanding of order fulfillment systems
  • Knowledge of the Partnering Solutions Groups (PSG) goals and objectives
  • Ability to share PSG objectives through communications with suppliers and day to day execution

 

Administrative Assistant position requires:

 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft programs such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office and Outlook 
  • Experience with the travel and expense system

 

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience in an administrative or project support role

 

Education (or equivalent work experience)

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Relevant work experience in purchasing, materials management, administration and SAP
