Your Responsibilities


As an Engineering Manager, Global Digital Product for the John Deere Global Digital Product team in Chicago, IL, you will….


  • Deliver high-quality configuration, pricing, and analytical information
  • Be a servant leader for software engineering scrum teams and solve problems requiring significant analytical and conceptual thinking
  • Collaborate closely with the Group Engineering Manager and Product Owner to understand the vision, strategy, and roadmap for your area of responsibility providing necessary technical perspective and insights
  • Collaborate closely with Architects on technology selection and solution design
  • Foster Agile culture among teams, along with monitoring product health, technical debt, and key team metrics
  • Provide team motivation, recognition, and constructive performance feedback
  • Develop software engineering talent with challenging roles and growth opportunities

This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time.

The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

What Skills You Need


  • 8 or more years developing and delivering high quality, performant, secure software
  • 3 or more years as a primary technical team leader/mentor
  • 3 or more years of experience in developing and supporting production applications using AWS services
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to partner easily with a variety of working styles
  • Demonstrated experience working with multiple programming languages
  • Deep understanding and passion for Agile development process, methodology, and scaling
