Your Responsibilities

As a Java Full Stack Developer for our Product and Customer Support IT division based in Chicago or Moline, IL, you will work on a product team and support product design by planning its work, coordinating with others, and writing and testing code to deliver functionality on a complete digital solution. This level designs medium complex parts of a digital solution and solves well-defined problems with little guidance.

Primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Designing, developing, and deploying the work needed to implement functionality from the product backlog
  • Creating automated unit tests, integration tests, and automated test scripts and executing all other testing-related tasks against a user story s acceptance criteria
  • Evaluating and implementing enhancement design solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance of software applications
  • Following industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation

What Skills You Need

 

Experience in the design, development, testing and integration of high complex software solutions leveraging change management processes:

  • 3 or more years of experience with Java web development with Spring and RESTful APIs
  • 3 or more years of experience with JavaScript development utilizing REACT, Redux, HTML and CSS
  • 1 or more years of experience in AWS using Infrastructure as Code
  • 1 or more years of experience with TDD
  • 1 or more years of experience leveraging DevSecOps and lean development principles
  • 1 or more years of experience of multi-database experience (i.e. Postgres, SQL DynamoDB, NoSQL, etc).
  • Deep understanding of security frameworks, authentication and authorization schemes
  • Proficient in interpersonal communication, collaboration and building working relationships

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelors degree in a Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology discipline (w/ 3+ years applied software/infrastructure engineering/analysis).
