Your Responsibilities
As a Sr. Embedded Software Engineer in Customer Proactive Services, you will be a member of a delivery scrum team and work with multiple stakeholders to build and implement solutions improve capability, reliability and efficiency of diagnostic and controller reprogramming as part of the Service Advisor product. In addition, you will
- Participate in functional requirement analysis and design to drive improvements to diagnostic and reprogramming solutions
- Provide solution for new customer requirements from technology identification and deployment perspective.
- Technical leader in the design, develop, test and integrate high quality solutions across product teams and the Enterprise
- Follows Agile software design methodology for software configuration and development
- Analyzing medium to high complexity requests and helps in formulating plans for execution (with minimum supervision)
- Provides production support of the system

What Skills You Need (Required skills/experiences)
- 8-10 or more years of experience in Embedded Systems / Linux C++ programming (Both will be added advantage)
- Experience with C++ 11/14/17, STL, Multithreading in C++
- Experience working with the latest developer tools: Visual Studio/CMake, Conan, Git, Jenkins
- 2 or more years of experience with Agile development process
- Experience working with Test Driven Development (TDD) and Test Automation
- Experience with CI/CD build processes and configuration
- Excellent software design, analysis, and problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication skills to co-ordinate with Global team members, business partners and other stakeholders
What Makes You Stand Out (Desired skills/experiences)
- Understanding of CAN and vehicle diagnostics domain.
- Understanding of embedded programming and tools: Cross compilations, toolchains.
- Experience on C++ Quality Analysis tools, e.g., Valgrind, CppCheck, SonarQube.
- Experience or understanding of Node.js and Node.js C++ extensions.
- Experience on JavaScript and UI frameworks.
- Experience or understanding of working on Java web services
- AWS or similar Cloud experience
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, IT, Computer Science or Engineering
