Your Responsibilities

As a Staff Software Engineer, Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE, in the John Deere Dealer Business System program, you will get a unique opportunity to work on a large-scale global application in a Fortune 500 company that is regularly ranked among the best companies to work for in the country.  Expertise in all technologies indicated is strongly desired and will make you stand out from other candidates.  Additionally, we are seeking a candidate with strong foundational knowledge with a desire to learn and grow your skills alongside your teammates.

Major duties include:

  • Convert business requirements into high-quality solutions with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE (Customer Engagement)
  • Hands-on development with an agile delivery team dedicated to design, development, and delivery of solutions
  • Communicate with relevant stakeholders to continually demonstrate, refine, and improve our products
  • Work alongside with Deere Product Owner and 3rd-party functional consultants to develop a deep understanding of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE platform
  • Mentor and lead other software engineers on the team

What Skills You Need

  • 4+ years of Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) development experience
  • Experience working with software test automation techniques (Test Driven Development) and Unit Test Frameworks
  • Ability to analyze, translate, and define business requirements into technical solutions
  • Understanding of CRM tools and related business processes
  • Proven experience in an Agile/Scrum team environment
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex application problems

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Hands on experience with extending the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform through configuration as well as code using Microsoft Power Platform, Workflows, Plugins and JavaScript with one or more of the following D365 / Dynamics CRM modules: Sales, Marketing, Customer Service. X++ development using extensions and custom service development in X++ is preferred
  • Microsoft Azure Cloud, power platform experience, application architecture and design experience
  • "Full Stack" experience with combination of front-end and strong backend service development experience, with technologies such as React, Angular, C#, SQL Server, Rules Engine etc.,
  • Appetite for continuous learning and willingness/dedication to develop deep technical skills needed to further develop, transform, and modernize Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE products, processes, and solutions
  • Experience working with John Deere dealers in the areas such as finance, parts, equipment sales, or equipment rental
  • Capable of collaborating with multiple business stakeholders to provide information technology solution
  • Skilled in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution


Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field
