Your Responsibilities

As a Facilities Engineer-Electrical Systems, for John Deere's Construction & Forestry Davenport Works, you will perform project engineering work for facility processes, infrastructure, production processes and equipment.  In addition, you will:

  • Provide project management for projects, which will include guiding and directing the activities of contractors and maintenance skilled trades.
  • Design and install electrical utilities and network cabling for production and facilities machines and equipment.
  • Provide troubleshooting expertise on facilities and production related equipment.

What Skills You Need

  • 3 or more years of relevant experience as an Electrical Engineer in a factory production environment.
  • Experience with high voltage and medium voltage electrical distribution in a factory type of environment.
  • AutoCad experience.
  • National Electrical Code and NFPA70E working knowledge.
  • Proven project management skills.

  • Energy/Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reduction experience.
  • PLC logic programming experience.

Education (or equivalent work experience)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
