Your Responsibilities


The Construction & Forestry John Deere Training Center is seeking an individual that is passionate about developing themselves and others.  As a Lead Instructor on John Deere’s Construction and Forestry (C&F) Aftermarket and Customer Support Training (A&CS) Team, you will:


  • Assess the knowledge/skills needed of dealer parts and service professionals to support the ever-growing technology solutions on construction equipment.
  • Collaborate with the John Deere enterprise teams and dealers on development of the enterprise technician technology training portfolio
  • Develop and deliver parts and advanced technical certification courses on multiple C&F products
  • Work directly with assigned dealers to put together training plans to improve their business.
  • Mentor less-experienced instructors

What Skills You Need


  • Demonstrated passion for developing others in a formal education environment (virtual and/or traditional)
  • Ability to author training materials and present in front of large groups on complex topics.
  • Proactive mindset with excellent communication skills who thrives on facilitating problem resolution and working in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, mostly domestically with some occasional international travel.
  • Actively seek continuous learning and upskilling opportunities
  • Microsoft Office Tools knowledge (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

What Makes You Stand Out


  • Experience with precision technology with emphasis on machine grade control systems
  • Experience on heavy equipment hydraulic/electrical/power train systems
  • Customer support and/or marketing and sales experience with customer interaction regarding products, parts, technology and/or service
  • Experience with regular customer contact, knowledge of dealer/distribution network processes, and broad product knowledge 



  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Engineering, Technology or Marketing
