Title: Part-Time Student-Manufacturing Engineering-Davenport IA - 83741 

Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position 

 

The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule.

Your Responsibilities

 

•    Identifies and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of limited scope.
•    Works with electronic tools to perform engineering functions.
•    Provides support and basic trouble shooting for current operations.
•    Develops plans of limited scope to support lean manufacturing.
•    Assists in development of baseline data for new wage performance pay plans  

What Skills You Need

 

•    Ideally you will be pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Agricultural, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology; others may apply
•    Must be registered as a full-time student at a local university
•    Graduation date of May 2023 or later
•    Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above 
•    Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
•    Work 16-20 hours/week during the academic year
•    Work 35-40 hours/week during the summer semester

What Makes You Stand Out

 

•    Ability to work and contribute as part of a diverse team
•    Organizational and project management skills
•    Experience with Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
•    Experience with solid modeling software; preference given to experience with Creo Parametric software
