Onsite/Remote: Partial Remote Position 

Your Responsibilities

As a Security Engineer (Penetration Testing) on our Red Team for our Intelligent Solutions Group located in Des Moines, IA you will….

  • Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on the technology stack used to bring automation and smart solutions to Deere vehicles
  • Provide remediation strategies for vulnerabilities found
  • Perform verification testing to ensure design changes remediate vulnerabilities

What Skills You Need

  • Understanding of cloud solutions and architectures supporting IoT environments
  • Proficiency in testing and assessment of mobile operating systems, embedded systems and/or IoT devices
  • Experience with planning and executing Red Teaming exercises
  • Understanding of various network, web, IoT and industrial related protocols like (TCP/UDP, HTTPS, MQTTS, automotive Ethernet, CAN, etc)
  • Experience with programming languages like Python, C#, C/C++
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with AWS based solutions

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Knowledge of Real Time Operating Systems
  • Ability to manipulate debug interfaces (UART, JTAG, etc) and peripheral buses (SPI, I2C, etc)
  • Experience with vehicle embedded systems engineering
  • Experience with public key encryption (PKI) in the embedded space
  • Experience with embedded Linux and other Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS)

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree Cyber Security / Security Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Advanced degree is a plus
