Your Responsibilities

 

As an Electrical Design Engineer for John Deere Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, Iowa, you will lead the development of electrical components and harnesses to support the Deere Excavator portfolio. In addition, you will….


•    Lead and participate in the Product Delivery Process (PDP), ensuring all activities and plans are formulated and followed to launch new vehicle programs into production
•    Participate in competitor benchmarking, vehicle specification development, as well as creation and maintenance of product design guidelines for Deere Excavators
•    Provide problem solving
support of electrical issues on prototype machines and current production units.
•    Provide guidance for contract and international resources

What Skills You Need

 

•    Knowledge of Electrical Systems and Components 
•    Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to attack emerging issues,
determine root cause, and drive corrective action
•    Experience with 3D modeling tools
•    Experience working in a team environment

 

What Makes You Stand Out

 

 •    Expertise and demonstrated experience with electrical systems and components
•    Knowledge of
electrical systems for mobile equipment applications
•    Knowledge of modeling tools for harness routing and drawing creation (ProE,/ProCable, Capital Harness, etc.)
•    Experience working with
electrical suppliers 
 

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: 


•    Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineering, or related degree
