Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position
This position is eligible for partial remote work at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.
Your Responsibilities
As a Powertrain Engineer for John Deere’s Construction and Forestry (C&F) Division in Dubuque, IA, you will….
- Have responsibility for design, while supporting verification, and modeling of engine, engine auxiliary, cooling, and/or exhaust components for excavator machine forms.
- Support production launches and experimental builds at our world-wide factories.
- Support warranty reduction and resolution of field issues.

What Skills You Need
- Strong technical communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- One or more years of engineering experience through internships, co-ops or project experiences.
- Experience with 3D modeling packages and modeling tools.
- Experience with data acquisition and data post processing.
What Makes You Stand Out
- Product design, test, or analysis experience in the areas of engine or cooling system design.
- Experience working in/with John Deere Power Systems.
- Excavator design experience.
- Experience with Product Verification and Validation processes.
- Masters in engineering.
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
