Your Responsibilities


As an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer for John Deere Harvester Works located in East Moline, IL, you will….


  • Support the new product development for combine, cab, and header equipment at Harvester Works
  • Analyze product design to develop component testing and programming equipment and sequences for combine, cab, and header functionality in future programs
  • Innovates and implements cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvement ideas
  • Leads analysis, development, and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology utilizing programming and testing software and hardware tools

What Skills You Need


  • 1 or more years of manufacturing shop floor experience
  • Experience with problem solving and working in a team environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office products
  • Experience managing capital projects

What Makes You Stand Out


  • Experience with any electrical product testing or programming equipment (i.e. test stands, software programming, controller programming, GFPT, SmartTest, PLC, CAN Tools, etc.)
  • Experience with vehicle electrical systems
  • Experience with MES, JDAAT, and SAP
  • Work experience in a union environment
  • Experience with tooling design
  • Experience with shop floor manufacturing, incentive pay systems, and work measurement
  • Experience with engineering tools (AUTOCAD, CREO, etc.)



Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • Bachelor’s degree in an Electrical Engineering/Electrical Systems/Computer Engineering/Software discipline or equivalent experience
