Title: Data & Simulation Engineer - 50380

Your Responsibilities

As an Data & Simulation Engineer for Harvester Works, located in East Moline, you will be part of the System Level PV&V team, with an emphasis on managing data & developing simulation tools to evaluate automated systems. In addition, you will:

  • Develop and execute system level validation test plans for new technology projects on combines
  • Create & automate pipelines to streamline the flow of data from field machines to and from cloud services.
  • Define methods to evaluate the performance of vision sensing systems.
  • Create simulation & analysis tools to automate the evaluation of new technologies.
  • Use data to communicate system performance results to cross functional teams and guide system development direction.

What Skills You Need

  • Experience developing with Matlab and demonstrated proficiency in this tool
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Analytical mindset that uses data to support conclusions
  • Experience working with global teams

What Makes You Stand Out

Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:

  • Experience measuring performance of vision sensing systems
  • Experience producing reliable toolsets with Python or Java
  • Experience working with instrumentation and data collection systems such as eDAQ, nCode, and CAN bus communication protocols
  • Experience with analyzing engineering data
  • Experience working with mechanical, electrical or agricultural systems
  • Experience working with Agricultural products

Education (or equivalent work experience)

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
