Overview & Responsibilities

 

As a HIL Infrastructure Engineer for our Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) based in East Moline, IL, you will be an integral member of a team responsible for building world-class simulation infrastructure to develop and test embedded software for our Seeding, Planting, and Tillage equipment product lines.  This is the ideal role for someone with expertise in Hardware in the Loop (HIL) test infrastructure development to work at the forefront of agriculture innovation. 

 

You will also:

 

  • Create and maintain hardware-based verification environments which emulate physical systems interfacing with embedded controllers.
  • Perform installation, verification, modification, and troubleshooting of HIL units and hardware
  • Support modeling and simulation activities for Seeding, Planting, and Tillage programs
  • Collaborate with design teams to determine appropriate simulations for verification of feature requirements
  • Resolve support requests from Software Engineers, Verification Champions, and Test Automation Engineers utilizing the test environment

What Skills You Need

    

  • 3+ yrs of experience designing and maintaining automatable HIL systems (ETAS, NI, dSPACE, etc)
  • Experience utilizing MATLAB and Simulink for modeling
  • Strong knowledge of embedded systems and expertise in debugging complex electrical systems
  • Familiarity with serial bus communication protocols, such as J1939 CAN
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a self-directed mode

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Knowledge of Tractor, Seeding, Planting, or Tillage systems
  • Product design or verification experience in Agriculture, Construction, Forestry, and/or Off-road equipment industries
  • Experience with various test automation tools, such as ECU-TEST, Squish, Jenkins, and GitHub

Education

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent related work experience
