This position may be located in Moline, IL., Ankeny, IA., or Valley City, ND, per the hiring manager's discretion. This may be dependent on the successful candidate's background, experience, and proficiency.

Your Responsibilities


As an Air Seeding Product Marketing Rep for John Deere Air Seeding Business located in Moline, IL, Ankeny, IA., or Valley City, ND., you will bring deep knowledge of the customer, market, industry, and technology to develop Value Proposition Documents, Marketing Launch Plans, and Go To Market Strategy for the Seeding Production Step. 


Additionally, you will:


  • Own product marketing content for Air Seeding
  • Work closely with Product Management focusing on value creation for both our customer and company as defined by clear success metrics to incorporate into marketing materials
  • Partner with internal stakeholders such as Tactical Marketing and Customer Connections ensuring aligned plans to tell the world about our great products
  • Partner with Production System, Tech Stack, and Lifecycle Solutions Partners to create an inclusive value message around the entire production step and lifecycle
  • Plan and coordinate customer focus groups in order to ensure our products deliver intended value and capture testimonials
  • Create go to market and training facing content for small grains seeding production step

What Skills You Need


  • Passion for precision agriculture 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, negotiation, and conflict resolution with proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships 
  • Creative mind with the ability to portray value in the customers language 
  • Knowledge of air seeding products, customers, markets and competitors 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to clearly articulate customer value 
  • 1 or more years of Marketing/Product Management experience

What Makes You Stand Out


  • Small Grains Agronomy and/or technical product experience in air seeding
  • 1 or more years of experience with precision agriculture tools 
  • 1 or more years of field experience with regular customer contact, and broad product knowledge 
  • Understanding of market segmentation and retail distribution systems 
  • Ability to influence without authority 
  • Ability to manage diverse projects simultaneously with strong prioritization
  • 1 or more years of experience working with cross-functional, global teams



Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Technology, Agricultural Sciences, Agronomy, Marketing, or equivalent discipline - University Degree (4 years or equivalent work experiences)
