Title: Quality Engineering Part Time Student - East Moline, IL - 51509

Your Responsibilities

  • Quality Improvement Team (QIT) coordination – Non-Conformance Corrective Action (NCCA) creation, NCCA tracking, QIT data management
  • Dept. 430 Service Parts data management (checklist data input, create Qnotes for identified issues, manage data reporting)
  • Continuous Improvement (CI) Board data management, limited CI project support
  • John Deere Assembly Assist Tool (JDAAT) inspection checklist maintenance/management

What It Takes

  • Basic Quality Engineering knowledge (Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action processes, Quality in Manufacturing).
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and understanding/ability to be trained in computer database systems.
  • Pursuing a four-year degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration/Management
  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a local university
  • Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
  • Graduation date of May 2020 or later 
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
  • 16 - 20 hours/week during the academic year
  • 35 - 40 hours/week during the summer semester

A strong candidate will also have

  • Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with NCCA system at Deere
