Your Responsibilities

 

As a Senior Engineer - Operator Station, you will design, develop, and deliver visibility solutions across Production and Precision Ag and Small Ag and Turf.  In addition, you will:


•    Provide technical leadership across a range of visualization systems focused on the electrical and software architecture 
•    Understand and interpret customer and business needs to optimize tradeoffs while meeting regulatory and compliance requirements 
•    Produce design concepts and alternatives that balance performance, cost, and quality targets 
•    Document design information and knowledge for production of parts and systems along with key knowledge for future utilization (reports, specifications, guidelines) 
•    Contribute to modular architecture for visibility systems including the prevailing strategies 
•    Collaborate with other functional areas, including marketing, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality to meet programs needs and work with suppliers where appropriate 
 

What Skills You Need

 

•    6 or more years of demonstrated experience in design and development of systems or modules 
•    2 or more years’ experience with design and delivery tools (potentially Creo, PDM Link, SAP, Pre-Vision, Rally, and related design tools) 
•    Skills, knowledge, and 4 years’ experience with design and delivery tools in the electro-mechanical space (specifically system design and SW and HW workflow) 
•    3 years’ demonstrating quantitative and analytical skills in the electro-mechanical system space (specifically in the interpretation of requirements and specification authoring) 
•    3 years’ experience directing and collaborating with suppliers or partners 
 

What Makes You Stand Out

 

•    Software development - QT/QML 
•    Electrical component / systems background including design 
•    Cab / operator station design experience 
•    Ergonomics and/or user experience 
•    Customer and/or dealer facing experience 
•    Automotive or off-road product development experience 
•    Demonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple, including global, units (for example: Waterloo, Harvester, Mannheim, Pune and IJD) 
•    Second language skills 

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: 
•    Level of education and/or type of degree and/or years of related experience
•    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
