Your Responsibilities


As a Senior Software Engineer for John Deere located in East Moline, IL, you will...


  • Develop, code, configure, and test programs and systems.
  • Evaluate and implement enhancement design solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance of software applications.
  • Collaborate with other relevant stakeholders and team members to ensure that features meet business needs.
  • Follow industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation.

What Skills You Need


  • 4 years of proven experience in the design, development, testing, and integration of complex software solutions leveraging change management; specifically, with front-end and back-end designs, development and optimization.  
  • Understanding of applications development environment, database, data management, and infrastructure capabilities and constraints.
  • Experience leveraging DevSecOps and lean development principles, such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. 
  • Understanding of design patterns and loosely coupled architectures.  
  • Growth mindset - willingness to deal and thrive in uncertainty.

What Makes You Stand Out


  • 4 or more years experience in developing mobile apps for both iOS and Android.   
  • Experience with software test automation (TDD and Unit Testing Frameworks: Junit, Mockito, Cucumber, Cypress).
  • Experience with UI frameworks such as REACT, Angular, or CSS.  
  • Experience in AWS or similar cloud technologies.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment. 
  • Skilled in interpersonal communications.  



Ideally, you would have a degree in the following or equivalent related work experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
