Main Responsibilities:

This position works on projects to define key parts of the next generation of Deere embedded software architecture, focusing on the architecture and infrastructure associated with the AUTOSAR defined operating system. These projects will help define how Deere development teams design software for the next generation of embedded systems, including software architecture, development work flows and processes, and software infrastructure features. This position is viewed as an expert in embedded software development and software architecture within Deere.

 

What Skills You Need:

Relevant Work Experiences:

* 5+ years of experience with 32-bit micro controllers and compiler tool chains

* 4+ years of experience in AUTOSAR Basic Software (BSW) and Microcontroller Abstraction Layer (MCAL) development/configuration, and testing

* 2+ years of experience in AUTOSAR application development and Software Component (SWC) integration and testing

* 2+ years of systems engineering experience including complex electronic systems integration

* 1+ years of experience with tools such as PREEvision, DaVinci suite, CANape, CANdelaStudio, etc.

* Expertise in microcontroller peripherals and systems (e.g. PWM outputs, boot loaders, A/D converters, watchdog timers, interrupt and trap functions, serial and parallel interfaces, etc.)

*Expertise in working with global teams

* Strong understanding of electronics, software and controls.

* Excellent communication and organizational skills.

* Experience with managing multiple complex projects.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)

* Proactive.

* Experience with communication protocols (e.g. UDS, J1939, ISO11783, TCP/IP, SPI, LIN, CAN, CAN-FD, Ethernet etc.)

* Experience with Matlab/Simulink.

 

What Makes You Stand Out:

* Experience in all phases of product development and software development lifecycle

* Understanding of diagnostics, reprogramming, and cybersecurity

* Understanding of industry standards (IEC, UL, ISO, SAE) as related to functional safety

* Understanding of multi-core and operating systems

 

Education:

* Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - Masters degree or equivalent

* Systems Design and Management Certificate from MIT or equivalent

* Degree in a Science discipline or equivalent experience. - Masters degree or equivalent
