Title: Hardware Engineer 

Primary Location: Mexico (MX)  - Nuevo León JD Shared Svcs-Monterrey 

Function: Product Engineering

Main Responsibilities

  • Leads electrical system design of a sub system or a part of a sub system
  • Ensures system requirement, objects, scope are clearly defined and reviewed with stakeholders
  • Determines & defines electrical system design and operator interface requirements to meet scope, performance, reliability expectations, of the electrical system working with stakeholders
  • Maintains electrical sub system design schedule and performs work tasks to meet the program EPDP schedule.
  • Translate higher level objectives / requirements in electrical system requirements
  • Determines high level electrical system requirements, diagnostics provided and architectural integration.
  • Organize design reviews for the component and subsystem level.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of electrical system application and design guidelines.
  • Determines, defines / specifies the electrical components used (Sensors, Actuators, Controllers, etc.)
  • Determines the sub system user interface requirements
  • Supports Field Testing with proper training material and follow up of field issues reported
  • Represent the electrical team in cross functional testing meetings, internal and external suppliers
  • Prepares and supports Quality design reviews like QA’s, RQA’s, FMEA’s, DFMEA’s on a system level

What Skills You Need

  • Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools.
  • Skill in using company information systems and processes.
  • Experience with electronic hardware development
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis tools
  • Good ability to communicate both software and systems concepts in a simple way
  • Knowledge in engineering principles, theory and practice as well as product knowledge
  • Knowledge of embedded control software, software development processes and serial communication protocols
  • Understanding of engineering principles as they relate to the company product
  • Fundamental understanding of machine forms relevant to the specific job assignment and Company division/unit.
  • Knowledge/familiarity with machines manufactured by competitors.
  • Knowledge of the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP), Enterprise Technology Development process (ETDP) and/or Enterprise Customer Acquisition Process (ECAP).

Education (or equivalent experience)

  • Mechatronics Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Digital Systems and Robotics Engineer, or equivalent experience.
