Title: Manufacturing Engineer 
Primary Location: Mexico (MX) - Nuevo León JD Shared Svcs-Monterrey 
Function: Manufacturing Engineering

Main Responsabilities:

Plans, coordinates, and performs manufacturing engineering work for Crop Care and Specialty Harvesting units within Welding Capability in ETEC Mexico. Operates in a team environment within the enterprise product delivery process. Is a resource in Welding Capability as a coach, mentor, and trainer for all employees in ETEC or host unit working partially remotely and on-site.

  • Establishes routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of moderate scope.
  • Provides support and troubleshooting for current operations. Investigates, gathers, and analyze data and implement solutions.
  • Develops and implements plans to support lean manufacturing through the Deere Production System of moderate scope. Designs operations layouts. Improves material flow and material presentation.
  • Innovates and implements cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvement ideas of moderate scope.
  • Leads team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity, and efficiency of moderate scope.
  • Leads analysis, development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology

What Skills you Need:

  • Fluent in English – verbal and written advanced communication skills.
  • Advanced skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools – Autocad, Creo, Vis, etc
  • Understands the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP)
  • Strong knowledge in Line and Weld Cell Design, Workforce plan calculations and Workload balance.
  • Good knowledge of GD&T and Kotem
  • Strong knowledge in Industrial Engineering and Lean Manufacturing tools.

  • Experience working within multicultural groups
  • Technical experience with line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools, weld fixtures validations and tryouts. 3 – 5 years
  • Experience in project management – small to mid-scale complex projects. 3 – 5 years
  • Experience with shop floor manufacturing and work measurement. 3 – 5 years.


    • Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
