Main Responsibilities:

  • Liaison between JDPS Group and ETEC to address and communicate any new projects or implement new processes within the group.
  • Design new and existing embedded software controls for Engine Controllers. 
  • Act as subject matter expert and application expert as it pertains to the assignment.
  • Create a culture of Continuous Improvement, structured feedback that examines team performance. 
  • Manage the personal workload improving efficiencies and providing feedback to the team.
  • Plan, coordinate, and perform tasks to meet quality, delivery, and cost goals with minimal supervision. 
  • High degree of technical judgment, independent thinking, experience and unique development approaches to solutions and ability to mentor other engineers on complex technical issues when needed.
  • Experience on requirement definition, analysis, design, programming, debugging, integration and verification.
  • In this position you will manage to Agile Ceremonies such as Sprint planning, stand ups, retrospectives, etc. 
  • Develop and implement
    • New software technologies.
    • Develop Software Architecture
    • Define and track User Stories 
  • Should be able to use traditional as well as state of art tools for development such as 
    • Model Based Software Design & Simulation (MBSD)
    • Auto Code Generation 
    • Software In Loop (SIL)
    • Hardware In Loop (HIL) 
    • Model In Loop (MIL) 
  • Such systems will include:
    • analog / digital electronics
    • software operating systems
    • advanced control theory / methods
    • hydraulic control
    • electric motor control 

What Skills You Need:

  • At least 5 years of experience in 
    • Embedded Software development for Engine Controllers.
    • Firmware (Embedded Software) development. 
    • MBSD and C or C++ programming language. 
    • Development for microcontrollers (such as ARMs or DSPs or PSoCs
  • Good Understanding and proven experience on 
    • Real-Time Operating System concepts, task schedulers, and application development.
    • Communication protocols and networks mainly CAN. 
    • Operation and use of compilers, linkers and locators. 
    • Microcontroller operation and memory organization 
  • Experience with
    • Development and debugging tools (e.g. source level debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multi-meters, etc.) 
    • Microcontroller peripherals and systems (e.g. PWM outputs, boot loaders, A/D converters, watchdog timers, interrupt and trap functions, serial and parallel interfaces, etc.) 
    • Agile Methodology
  • Demonstrated high critical analysis skills to overcome team´s roadblocks. 
  • Should be able to use traditional as well as state of art tools for development such as:
    • Model Based Software Design & Simulation (MBSD)
    • Auto Code Generation
    • Software in Loop
    • Hardware in Loop
    • Model in Loop
    • C and C++ development
    • Python or other scripting language
  • Excellent understanding and Strong Software Development Skills to support other software developers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Strong communication skills for conflict resolution, meetings, reporting, etc.
  • Strong drive by results.
  • Proactive

Education (or equivalent experience):

B.S. Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Digital Systems, and Robotics Engineering or similar.
