Title: Sr. Embedded Software Eng. - Team Leader

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design new and existing embedded software controls for robust on/off road vehicles and harsh environments. Follows agile development methodology. Well conversant with requirements capture, analysis, design, programming, debugging, hardware integration
    and verification.
  • Should be able to use traditional as well as state of art tools for development such as (Model Based Software Design & Simulation (MBSD), Auto Code Generation, Software In Loop (SIL), Hardware In Loop (HIL) and Model In Loop (MIL) tools. The systems will include analog / digital electronics, software operating systems, advanced control theory / methods, hydraulic control, electric motor control and displays / instrumentation.
  • This person will plan, coordinate, and perform tasks to meet quality, delivery and cost goals with minimal supervision. This position requires a high degree of technical judgment, independent thinking, experience and unique development approaches to solutions and ability to mentor other engineers on complex technical issues when needed.
  • Develop and implement new software technologies
  • Act as subject matter expert and application expert as it pertains to the assignment.
  • This position will be the Liaison between Engineering Centers to address and communicate any new projects or implement new processes within the group.

 

What Skills You Need:

  • 4 years of experience in firmware (Embedded Software) development.
  • 4 years of experience in C or C++ programming language.
  • 5 years of experience with microcontrollers or other processors (such as ARMs or DSPs or PSoCs).
  • Proven experience on Enterprise development standards.
  • Fast adapting to new ways of development depending on new technologies.
  • Experience with Agile Methodology
  • Proven experience with simulation and modeling tools (MBSD) (e.g. MATLAB, Simulink, Real-Time Workshop, etc.)
  • Able to work on complex algorithms/features.
  • Proven experience on Plant Model Creation.
  • Good Knowledge of Real-Time Operating System concepts, task schedulers, and application development.
  • Understanding and some experience with communication networks mainly CAN.
  • Good Knowledge of operation and use of compilers, linkers and locators.
  • Good Knowledge of microcontroller operation and memory organization.
  • Experience with development and debugging tools (e.g. source level debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multi-meters, etc.)
  • Experience with microcontroller peripherals and systems (e.g. PWM outputs, boot loaders, A/D converters, watchdog timers, interrupt and trap functions, serial and parallel interfaces, etc.)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills (English).

  • Capability to create trust on costumers in order to be liaison for current and new units.
  • Demonstrated strong technical skills & mentoring in the areas of embedded software development.
  • Experience in developing/debugging and testing Embedded Software in PDP environment.
  • Demonstrated technical skills with automotive and portable electronic design, communication bus interfaces, GPS systems, wireless communications, electronics manufacturing and test processes, and electromagnetic compatibility.
  • Knowledge of AUTOSAR & Model Based Systems Design.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in driving Software Development Automation.
  • Experience with farming practices and farm equipment operation.

 

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
