Title: Product Engineer- Electrical & Software Testing - 80850

Your Responsibilities


As a Product Engineer- Electrical & Software Testing for the Turf and Compact Unity Platforms located in Horicon, WI, you will…


  • Execute vehicle level verification activities such as electrical load, leakage current, etc. and document results and recommendations in engineering reports.
  • Prioritize and coordinate software/hardware test activities to meet Product Development Process schedules and resource availability.
  • Analyze vehicle and software requirements, create, update and execute test procedures for various components, systems and platforms.
  • Help establish short- and long- term objectives, goals and priorities for the test lab.

What Skills You Need


  • 3 or more years of electrical systems design or software test development and validation
  • Experience with electrical test tools such as a Multi- meter, Ammeter and Oscilloscope
  • Experience with SAE J1939 CAN analysis tools, specifically CANape or CANalyzer
  • Self- motivated with the ability to manage time effectively

What Makes You Stand Out


  • Agriculture or other off- highway vehicle development experience
  • Experience evaluating vehicle performance and troubleshooting issues
  • Knowledge of the Agile development process and Rally tool
  • ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) Certification or equivalent
  • Knowledge of and experience with the John Deere Vision PVV documentation system
  • Experience leading and training new team members/peers
  • Experience leading design/test work distributed across global teams



Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent work experience
