Title: IT Quality Assurance Analyst - 51624

Your Responsibilities

 

As an IT Quality Assurance Analyst for John Deere Financial (JDF) in Johnston, IA, you will identify, recommend and implement changes/process improvements to enhance the effectiveness of automated and manual test strategies and framework and provides solutions for bottlenecks within the processes. In addition, you will:

 

  • Design, develop and implement overall testing strategy for enterprise systems across development team
  • Collaborate with technical lead, delivery teams and business SMEs in a scrum team atmosphere
  • Create detailed Test Plans, allocate work to the team, which will consist of Test Leads and Test Analysts and review requirements for development of a complex Quality Assurance Plan
  • Develop and execute complex test cases for enterprise systems
  • Provide leadership to the Test Leads, Test Analysts, and overall team by managing the resources for successful and timely completion of large strategic projects
  • Prioritize work assignments to the team. The team size can range from 3-7 testing resources.
  • Develop, update, and may provide training on testing processes and deliverables which may include methodology best practices
  • Ensure testing processes are adhered to by the team and provides feedback and guidance to the team on processes and deliverables
  • Influence the adoption of testing processes, tools and techniques to enable on-time delivery of higher quality solutions to our customers and business units
  • Gather and communicate testing metrics
  • Work with business SMEs and product owners, assisting with:
    • Break down and definition of user stories/tasks to ensure delivery, testability and acceptance within sprint boundaries
    • Delivery dates
    • Risk/issue management, communications strategies etc.
    • Validation that projects are following compliance and security processes

What Skills You Need

 

  • Ability to work independently to create testing strategies, staffing models, and project estimates
  • Provide test leadership throughout a project's lifecycle
  • Demonstrated knowledge of standard quality tools such as FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis), Control Plans, and Root Cause Analysis
  • Experience using the 8D Non-conformance Corrective Action process

 

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Previous experience leading testing teams
  • Previous experience in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience developing automated tests
  • 1 or more years of experience of demonstrated team leadership experience

 

Education (or equivalent work experience)

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
