Responsibilities

 

As a Solution Architect for John Deere Financial located in Johnston, IA, you will be recognized as a seasoned technology professional and expert who focuses on developing strategic architectures and roadmaps, then assisting with designing solutions that adhere to those architectures.

You will be expected to collaborate with product teams to ensure that the solutions built are effective. The scope at this level maintains in-depth technical knowledge in a primary capability area and creates architectures and designs for that capability area

 

In addition, you will: 

  • Advise product teams on complex design issues on products
  • Provide leadership to product teams and external vendor partner teams to address architecture and design and resolve issues
  • Partner with the Product Manager, Product Owner and Engineering Manager to understand issues and provides solutions
  • Participate in technology selections with external vendors

What Skills You Need

 

  • Business model, business context, and business process understanding of the product families in at least one business functional area of John Deere as well as experience communicating up, down, and across the business and IT organization, including other business and technology leaders 
  • 4 or more years of experience with server-side design and development including but not limited to Java/J2EE, Python, ABAP, Node.js or equivalent
  • 4 or more years of experience with web software design and development including but not limited to HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, Progressive Enhancement, Responsive Design
  • Knowledge of complex technology, methodology, and full life-cycle development in an agile environment
  • Experience with leveraging and deploying technology solutions to AWS based services.

Education

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Arts/Science in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field
