The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule.


Note: With COVID-19, the job can be done remotely for the present time subject to the manager’s direction and timeframe. Longer term, the position will be located at the physical facility.


Your Responsibilities

You will be on a team of competency leaders from Engineering, Operations, and IT responsible for driving transformational change –improving performance, quality, and inventory integrity—in the Warehouse Management domain. 


Prior to deploying any software changes to production, we will run a series of automated test scripts [spanning a wide range of business scenarios] to ensure quality and performance while accelerating our rate of delivery to customer.  In the immediate future, this position will focus on development of such scripts while learning the details of our broader business and systems processes.


  • Gains familiarity with Operations, Engineering, and IT products and processes that are John Deere Aftermarket & Customer Support
  • Participates in the implementation of information technology and business processes of low complexity.
  • Performs activities in alignment with Agile delivery model
  • Participates in developing, testing, and demonstration of technology
What It Takes


  • Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or similar; others may apply
  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a local university
  • Must be able to commute to the work location when required at facility
  • Graduation date of May 2022 or later
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • 16-20 hours/week during the academic year (exception for finals or otherwise agreed to by hiring manager)
  • 35-40 hours/week during the summer semester
