Your Responsibilities

 

As a Technical Support Representative at the North America Parts Distribution Center (NA-PDC) located in Milan, Illinois, you will provide technical support regarding parts to field teams, channel partners and customers. In addition, you will:

  • Provide customer support for parts, products, services, or initiatives
  • Resolve complex parts issues using resource materials
  • Report complex problems to higher levels for resolution which includes locating existing information from internal sources
  • Utilize effective communication skills to solve problems and negotiate
  • Be an outstanding team player, as well as effective working independently

What Skills You Need

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to thrive on solving problems
  • Experience using strong negotiation skills
  • Experience as an outstanding team player, and ability to be effective working independently
  • Experience in customer service
  • Experience using analytical skills
  • Technical and Mechanical knowledge or equivalent experience
  • Willingness to work 2nd shift with the hours of 10:00am-6:30pm, as well as holidays and weekends to support dealers and customers

 

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Knowledge of DTAC / CCMS system, DNS (Distribution Network System) and/or JDPOINT (A web based tool for dealer parts ordering)
  • Parts Advisor, Parts Expert, Ag Sales Manual, Price Pages, Dealer Path, SAP, RECON (ability to read engineering drawings)
  • Knowledge of the John Deere Customer Support Processes
  • Experience working in a factory experience
  • Knowledge of all John Deere products and services as well as competitors

 

Education (or equivalent work experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture Science, or 2 years of equivalent experience interacting with customers regarding products, parts, and services
