Your Responsibilities

 

As a 3rd shift Material Coordinator at John Deere Seeding Moline, you will coordinate delivery of materials to the Point of Use and resolve part availability issues. In addition you will:

 

  • Communicate part availability issues and resolution to operations and other key stakeholders
  • Utilize SAP transactions to support all aspects of the material delivery process
  • Work critical shortage reports to ensure part availability
  • Work closely with several functional areas including operations, engineering, supply management, and material flow to root cause and correct material shortages, inventory discrepancies, reporting issues, COGI, and consumption issues
  • Implement the output from the engineering release and change management process
  • Actively support the Continuous Improvement process and shop floor initiatives

What Skills You Need

 

  • Two or more years of experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Two or more years of experience working in a team environment and delivering expected results
  • One or more years with experience in effective interpersonal communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • One or more years of organizational experience handling multiple projects or tasks
  • Ability to support 3rd shift depending on business needs
  • Ability to work over-time and some weekends to support business needs

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience working in a manufacturing operations environment
  • Experience with Order Fulfillment, Supply Management, and/or Material Flow processes
  • Experience working proactively in a self-guided environment

Education

 

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Management, Engineering/Technology, Supply Management, Accounting/Finance, or a related field, and/or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
