Your Responsibilities

As a Agile Tools-Software Engineer for John Deere located in Moline, IL, you will….

  • Design, Build and Deliver software solutions associated with our Agile Tools product family that will directly impact our Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Engineering Managers and others. 
  • Work alongside other team members promoting a DevOps culture. Practices include but not limited to TDD, Automated Testing, CI/CD, Monitoring
  • Engage and contribute to the larger John Deere software developer community

What Skills You Need

  • 6 or more years of software development experience (Java, nodeJS)
  • 4 or more years of experience leveraging DevSecOps and lean development principles such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
  • 4 or more years of experience in engineering practices such as TDD, Pair Programming, Emerging Design, etc.
  • 3 or more years software development experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, comprehension and presentation)

Works on a product team and leads product design by providing technical leadership - in addition to planning, coordinating, coding and testing - to deliver functionality of a complicated nature on the complete product or products it supports. This role designs significantly more complex parts of a system independently. Provides coaching and mentoring to others within the technical discipline. Recognized as a technical advisor in the solution of complex problems; Develops creative functionality and provides solutions to complex problems by identifying and organizing necessary resources.

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Technology/IT discipline or equivalent experience
