Your Responsibilities

 

As a Financial Reporting Analyst in External Reporting for John Deere located in Moline, IL, you will support the worldwide financial consolidation processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting of actual and forecasted financial results. In addition, you will:

  • Prepare and analyze the worldwide consolidated cash flow forecast monthly 
  • Complete complex cash flow reconciliations; provide explanations and recommendations to management 
  • Work with the Global Compensation group to calculate corporate profit-sharing forecasts based on enterprise metrics and develop scenario analyses for profit-sharing plan changes and calculate financial statement impact used for decision making 
  • Create, analyze, and distribute reports for the Equipment Operations to company leadership and corporate accounting groups (Division Analysts, Investor Relations, Treasury) 
  • Complete monthly review of unit financial results and serve as their contact for guidance and consulting on financial topics 
  • Analyze the impact of various business changes (new accounting standards, acquisitions/divestitures, tax law changes, etc.) and incorporate into financial models  
  • Complete other financial analysis and special projects

What Skills You Need

  • Experience performing financial analysis and working with financial models 
  • Expert Excel experience with complex formulas and spreadsheets  
  • Strong problem solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail
  • Experience in various Accounting/Finance positions 
  • Self-starter with good communication skills 
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment 

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience with financial statements, cash flow and key financial ratios 
  • Experience with presenting to high-level management 

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
