Your Responsibilities

 

As an IT Analyst for John Deere’s equipment module team located in Moline, IL, you will be responsible for the IT solutions that enable the Equipment operations work stream within the Order Management program. In addition, you will:

 

  • Participate in the daily activities required to deliver new functionality as defined by the Equipment Product Team
  • Participate in Agile dailies such as a stand-up, grooming and retros with team members primarily in the US, Mexico, and India
  • Manage full stack development primarily in Java/J2EE (Spring), NodeJS (React and AngularJS), and CSS3
  • Participate in unit and integration testing as needed and work closely with the business or product owner to resolve issues
  • Collaborate with team members on design and implementing solutions
  • Working in other technologies as necessary to help the team complete committed work (such as SAP and HANA)
  • Implement development and software delivery processes to improve quality and efficiency
  • Help lead and mentor others as necessary to build a strong team
  • Build relationships with team members and business stakeholders to ensure an understanding of requirements
  • Work closely with enabling teams such as DevOps to ensure CI/CD and security practices are being completed

What Skills You Need

 

  • Extensive working experience in Java and front-end development technologies (NodeJS, React, Angular JS, Java/J2EE, Spring framework, etc.)
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling (GitHub, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative to solve an issue or complete committed work on time
  • Capable of collaborating with business leaders and team members to provide information technology solutions
  • Understanding and working knowledge in various database technologies (mongo, SAP HANA, DB2)
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies for software delivery
  • Ability to analyze, translate, and define business requirements into quality technical solutions
  • Working knowledge of application usability and the overall end user experience (UX) design methodologies

 

What Makes You Stand Out

Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:

 

  • Prior experience working on dealer facing applications or dealer sales tools (Quote2, Configurator, Sales Center, etc)
  • Experience implementing major Information Technology programs or projects that are broad in scope or multi-unit/cross divisional
  • Experience or familiarity with SAP technology (HANA database, SD, MM)
  • Demonstrated team leadership and mentoring experience
  • Experience with Akana or other API gateway technologies
  • Business process knowledge of order fulfillment and dealer inventory and sales processes

 

Education (or equivalent work experience)

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
