Your Responsibilities


As a Software Engineer for the John Deere Parts Order Management product team located in Milan, IL, you will;

  • Work with a team of engineers and architects to design, build and implement cloud-based solutions for Parts applications and reporting environments
  • Support the migration of existing on-premise applications and reporting environments to Amazon Web-Services (AWS)
  • Contribute to our data pipelines with in-depth knowledge of modern data modeling
  • Develop, implement, and support methodologies, standards, and tools for data management such as metadata management, data modeling, data transformation, data quality, data integration, and data security

What Skills You Need

  • 3 or more years of proven experience in the design, development, testing and integration of high complex software solutions leveraging change management specifically with front-end designs, development (CSS, HTML, Java, JavaScript, WebSphere, REACT) and optimization
  • 2 or more years of experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment
  • Proven deep experience leveraging DevSecOps and lean development principles such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
  • Understanding of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints
  • Working understanding of design patterns

What Makes You Stand Out

  • 3 or more years of experience with software test automation (TDD and Unit Testing Frameworks: Junit, Mockito, Cucumber, Cypress)
  • 2 or more years of experience in cloud development with platforms like AWS or Azure
  • 2 or more years of experience in the design, development, testing and integration of high complex software solutions, specifically with SAP ABAP, SAP CRM and other SAP functions that support Ordering


Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience
