Title: Infrastructure Engineer - 68385 

Your Responsibilities

As an Infrastructure Engineer at John Deere, you will implement and integrate new information technology infrastructure using approved Information Technology processes. In this role, you will identify, analyze, select and apply appropriate new information technology infrastructure components within a diverse environment to support strategic business plans and processes.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Selecting, planning, and implementing solutions to the server environment
  • Working and coordinating with others to provide infrastructure support and maintenance with varying levels of complexity
  • Collaborating closely with multiple functional and business partners on tactical and strategic issues
  • Responsible for communicating and recording change documentation

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years relevant Infrastructure and Server Administration experience
  • Programming/scripting experience in Windows or Unix/Linux environments
  • Experience with Infrastructure as code version control systems
  • Experience monitoring, changing, and/or managing IT infrastructure to ensure high availability and optimal performance in an integrated environment
  • Experience performing and applying information analysis to resolve infrastructure problems
  • Experience working in an infrastructure team, establishing reports and monitoring project measurement parameters
  • Exposure to working on projects that require contact with other Information Technology departments at the unit, division, or enterprise level
  • Knowledge of process improvement principles - these may include modifying existing operating systems, designs, or program code, or designing new processes.
  • Strong analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in incident, problem or change management
  • Exposure to working with cloud technologies
  • Experience working in an Agile environment

Education (or equivalent work experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Infrastructure Technologies
