Your Responsibilities


This position is eligible for remote work at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change


As an Internal Control Analyst for John Deere, you will lead the Internal Control assessment at assigned units.  In addition, you will:

  • Assess the operating effectiveness of the internal control environment through process documentation and transactional testing
  • Ensure unit stakeholders perform required ICQ certifications
  • Serve as a liaison between the unit personnel and auditors (both Internal and External)
  • Partner with Internal Control Analysts to facilitate peer-to-peer knowledge sharing
  • Streamline department activities to support continuous improvement initiatives

What Skills You Need

  • Ability to build trust by demonstrating strong partnerships with others both internal/external
  • 3 or more years of experience demonstrating excellent communication skills working with a variety of functional areas
  • 3 or more years of experience with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • 3 or more years of experience defining tasks, setting priorities, and establishing milestones to achieve objectives with the optimal use of resources
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time within the U.S.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Internal Audit experience
  • Experience with Data Analytic tools (Tableau, Business Objects)
  • Understanding of integrated systems and their relationship to financial reporting and controls
  • Accounting experience with varied units or assignments
  • SAP knowledge


Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Accounting/Finance or related discipline
