Your Position:

Your Responsibilities


This position is eligible for remote work at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.


As a Lead Auditor for the Equipment Operations segment of Deere and Company located in Moline, IL you will conduct internal audits, advisory reviews, complex assignments, and report to management conclusions about the adequacy of internal controls, accuracy of financial transactions and reported results, and compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and standards.  In addition, you will...


  • Assist Internal Audit management with the planning, scoping and supervision of Internal Audit engagements, including providing guidance to staff and workpaper review.
  • Conduct testing and identify deficiencies for further investigation ensuring deliverables are completed according to the established schedule and required standards.
  • Assist in report preparation and formulation of recommendations designed to improve controls and/or methods of operation.
  • Assist in the presentation of audit findings, recommendations, and corrective action plans to Management.
  • Proactively participate in department initiatives to drive improvements and innovation within Internal Audit.
  • Completes special projects as requested.

What Skills You Need


  • At least four years of experience in accounting, finance, audit, or another related field
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent active listening, written communication, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience building interpersonal relationships with business partners and manage difficult conversations
  • Great team player with ability to work independently, when necessary
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% (A valid passport or the ability to obtain a valid passport)

What Makes You Stand Out


  • Two or more years of audit experience at a large public company or public accounting firm
  • Advanced degree in accounting, finance or another related field
  • Certified Public Accounting (CPA) certification
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification



Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or another related field
