Your Responsibilities


As an Order Fulfillment Process Quality Engineer for Des Moines Works located in Ankeny, IA, you will troubleshoot shop floor issues including safety, quality, tooling, parts, and process. In addition, you will…


  • Execute, improve, and develop processes to reduce risk for both internal and external customers
  • Investigate product quality problems by gathering and analyzing data, determine root cause and implement corrective and preventive action
  • Provides training and/or supervision to co-workers, inspectors, technicians, and auditors on quality procedures and tools to monitor critical processes to assure consistent control and/or to implement cost-saving ideas to improve our products to meet customer expectations
  • Assists in warranty reviews and investigations by creating evidence packages and applying problem resolution techniques

What Skills You Need


  • 2 or more years of experience with standard quality tools such as FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), Root Cause Analysis, Statistics
  • 2 or more years of experience with manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance, and facilities
  • 2 or more years of experience with drawing and schematic interpretation, product models, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Knowledge of advanced data gathering and analysis techniques, including statistical analysis 
  • Experience with team leadership (can include project or group work)

What Makes You Stand Out


  • 1 or more years of experience in Order Fulfillment Process or Product Delivery Process Assembly Quality or Product Delivery Process Component/Supplier Quality
  • 1 or more years of experience in one or more related engineering areas: quality, industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing
  • Programming language experience (Python, SQL, etc.)
  • Experience executing statistical tools and techniques for quality management
  • Experience with heavy machinery or agricultural equipment
  • ASQ certification in Quality or Six Sigma



Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology preferred or equivalent engineering work experience
